Share it. Spread it. Love it

2020 is almost ended. It’s a holiday season; a season about love! A perfect time to reflect, count our blessings and seek out ways to make life better for you and those surround you.

To increase awareness of Indonesian Food based businesses in Canada and authors, I’m running for the very first time IndoKado giveaways for new and old followers and visitors of this blog in this festive joy season of 2020.  It’s also a way for me to express thank YOU for following me throughout the year.

These giveaways will be run for 7 days from December 5-11, 2020. Each day, I’ll post a giveaway and each giveaway will run for 6 days. The Winner’s Announcement will be started from December 12-18, 2020.⁣

Why Indo? and Why Kado? Indo can be meant a short name for Indonesia or Indonesian descendants but Indo can be meant Dutch Indonesian descents as well. While Kado is a gift in Indonesian which derived from the Dutch word of cadeau.

Make sure you’re subscribed so you won’t miss any announcement that I’m giving away to champion Indonesian Food abroad.

Note: If you just want to subscribe due to the giveaway, please I beg you please don’t subscribe LOL. I only want people who stick around! 😉  My hope is that by subscribing, you are actually interested in receiving the newsletter every other week or monthly.

And with that, I’ll share with you a clip to dance!

De Bijbel van den Indonesische Keuken is her very first debut of Indonesian cookbook in Dutch.  She obtained the recipes mostly from her late mom’s notes and other Indonesian friends’ family or friends including yours truly 😎.   On page 53, 232 and 245 of that cookbook, you’ll find my contributions on Nasi Jamblang Cirebon (Cirebon Style Mixed Rice).

With positive responses that have been received toward this cookbook, I’m sure she will have another one since we all know that Indonesia has a wide diversity including the foods.

Minang Online Cooking Class

Kelas Balado in EnglishWith our current situation worldwide, I’m not able to do a physically present to lead any cooking class that I started last year.

People are being creative to create or produce whatever possible way to still being productive.  One of them is Reno Andam Suri who is an author of Rendang, Minang Legacy to the World.  She has created an online cooking class through Whatsapp group chat platform for a Minang Cooking Class “Kelas Balado”  and delivered in Indonesian.

Last month, Reno has proposed to partnership with me in her Kelas Balado sessions.  With this partnership, the sessions will be delivered in English instead of Indonesian which will be starting on October 16.  There are also additional informations that the Indonesian version won’t get.  A toolkit to create Minang foods outside Indonesia as I’ll give those informations throughout the sessions of Kelas Balado in English.Social Media Kelas Balado 3Are you curious or wanting to join at one of the sessions or both?  Here is the link to inquiry more details.  Clink this Kelas Balado in English.
