Note: this was inteded to be posted 2 years ago when I travelled to Indonesia in 2014 where I spent 6 days in Bali before I saw my family back in Sidoarjo.
Pasar Ikan Kedonganan or Kedonganan Fish Market is one must visited place for foodies if you go for holidaying to Bali, Indonesia. It’s a market where you can find fresh fish and seafood that fishermen just caught especially foodies who love fish and seafood like me. The Pasar (market) itself is located at Jimbaran, South Kuta.
One fine Saturday morning at Pasar Ikan Kedonganan (Kedonganan Fish Market). Catching up the old time with an old friend back when I was a university. Enjoying the view of fishermen, traditional boats and big waves. Buying a huge fish egg to be grilled on the site. While we waited for the fish egg to be grilled, we enjoyed a cup of kopi luwak and mangosteen for breakfast.
We enjoyed the moment where the fishermen helped each other to bring their boats on to the shore.
When we arrived the Pasar, I recognized the smell right away. The air that I used to breath in when I was a little girl back when I still lived in Probolinggo.
We wandered around the market while I took some shots. Then my friend found a fishmonger who sold a big chunk of fish egg. I believed it was from tuna fish egg. She bought and took it to the grill place. Around this market you will find some places which offer their service to grill your fish or seafood that is just bought from fishmongers at the market.
While we waited for the fish egg to be grilled, we enjoyed a cup of kopi luwak and mangosteen for breakfast.
